"For me photography is about simplicity, the process of capturing of simple gestures, routines… I also like to imagine that my photos don’t belong in this time. There’s nothing more charming than an old photo, book, painting, and it gives me great pleasure to be able to create and capture images that can live in that “old visual.”
The thing that as been a constant inspiration to me, almost like an obsession, are books that picture how to do things step by step for eg: “How to comb your hair,” “How to wear a shoe,” “How to give a massage;” the photographs in them are very documentary and you can see everyday gestures being the main issue - I absolutely love that. Doing experiments with different papers, textures and printing techniques also inspire me a great deal and it is a huge help in reaching my final accomplishments."
